I was fortunate to have someone in my circle
My grandfather started working with associations in 1931. Before proposing a management relationship, he would assess the association and the industry it served. He believed you needed to understand an organization before you could know what it needed.

That philosophy became the foundation of our family’s work in association management.
how we started
My understanding of business didn’t begin in a classroom. It began in my family.

I had my dad
As I grew into leadership and eventually became a business owner, he was my mentor and advisor. I could bring him an unfamiliar problem, talk through a difficult decision or ask a question I wasn’t sure whom else to ask.

Sometimes I simply needed to talk with someone who understood the responsibility of running an organization.
Many small-business owners don’t have that person.
They’re expected to manage people, understand their finances and make decisions about situations they’ve never encountered before. Yet there’s often no obvious person to turn to.

why Us
For decades, I’ve worked inside organizations with access to something most small-business owners don’t have: management infrastructure.
Larger organizations have dedicated people managing finance, operations, strategy and leadership. Small-business owners often have to manage it all themselves.
And while hiring a VA, bookkeeper or marketing contractor brings in expertise, having the pieces isn’t the same as having a functioning organization.
I founded Elephant Circle Management to bring the principles of association management to small businesses, giving you the structure to make good decisions and the freedom to choose your role in what you’ve built, without having to become an expert in everything.

Elephants are known for their intelligence, memory and strong social bonds. They draw on the knowledge and experience of their herd, gathering around their young and vulnerable members when danger arises.

I’ve always loved that image. Because businesses need circles, too.
Why an Elephant Circle?
Elephant Circle Management becomes part of your circle, bringing perspective, experience and management expertise while keeping you in charge of your business.

Sometimes that means noticing something you’re too close to see or asking a question that hasn’t been considered. Other times, it means clarifying responsibilities or bringing the right specialist into the conversation.

And when something difficult happens, you don’t have to start from scratch figuring out whom to call.

The circle is already there.
Large corporations understand the value of a circle. Their CEOs have leadership teams, boards, attorneys, accountants and advisors to turn to for perspective and expertise. They aren’t expected to know everything or navigate every challenge alone.

Small-business owners deserve that same access.
